Hounslow Police have issued a warning after several residents reported receiving cold calls from a company calling themselves SAS Security.

SAS Security are claiming that they are working with the Police to give away alarm systems. However, a spokesperson for the Police said this was not the case and the issue is being raised with Trading Standards.

"Always be wary of dealing with any company that cold calls either by phone or at your door."

There have been several calls to the police lately regarding unwanted bogus calls either at the door or on the phone. If your door is knocked, say "NO THANK YOU" and close it. Do not get into a long conversation as people can be very persuasive. Hounslow Borough discourages cold callers and if we ALL say "NO," they might get the message and move out of the area. Never let anyone into your property who just happened to knock your door especially without proper identification. Be safe and say NO.
