To help Brentford remain a safer place, police officers from all four of Brentford Safer Neighbourhood Teams were involved in a two-day joint Operation on 15th and 16th September with Traffic Police Officers from the Hampton Traffic garage.

A large number of vehicles were stopped and checked for driving documents, insurance and illegal loads of scrap metal. The end result was one male disqualified driver arrested, 26 persons reported for a number of driving offences, three vehicles seized for having no insurance, and one drug seizure.

Sergeant Murphy of Syon Safer Neighbourhood Team said " we are responding to a number of complaints received from our community, concerning inconsiderate and illegal motorists. The officers involved worked very well together to ensure it was successful. We will be repeating this operation with our traffic colleagues in the coming month" .
