Man sentenced to five years for slashing victim with a knife Stanley knife

Tues 25th March 9.20am the victim, a probationary PC, was driving along Boston Manor Roadd, when he saw a blue van being driven erratically. He later saw the van again at the Tesco Petrol station on Syon Lane and approached driver. The driver pulled a Stanley knife on the victim and slashed him across the face and chest before making off.

Enquiries identified Faisal Mohammad, aged 30, of Sussex Road, Southall as a suspect, he was arrested earlier this year and later charged to appear at Feltham Magistrates Court.

A trial took place at Isleworth Crown Court and he was found guilty on 16th of GBH and sentenced to five years.

DI Jeff Minns, MPS Hounslow borough said, "This was a serious assault on the victim who will have the scars for the rest of his life. Mohammad chose to pull a knife on his victim, inflicting serious injuries and for that he is being held accountable."
