Area Forum to Hear About The Isleworth Society

The Hounslow South, Isleworth and Osterley & Spring Grove Area Forum will meet on Monday 14 September at Isleworth Public Hall, bringing residents, councillors and council officers together for an evening of updates and discussion. The meeting begins informally at 6.30pm with a networking session, followed by the formal agenda from 7.30pm.

The early part of the evening will take the form of a marketplace, with stalls where residents can speak directly to council officers about local issues, meet their ward councillors and hear from community groups working in the area. Light refreshments will be available, and although registration is not required, residents can reserve a place due to limited capacity.

The formal meeting opens at 7.30pm with apologies, declarations of interest and communications from members, followed by approval of the minutes from the previous meeting in February. Ward councillors will then share good news stories and updates from across Hounslow South, Isleworth and Osterley & Spring Grove, highlighting recent achievements and ongoing work in their communities.

A highways update will be presented by Tim Hurley of Hounslow Highways and Sabeel Khan, covering recent projects and upcoming works across the three wards.

This will be followed by a Community Spotlight session featuring The Isleworth Society, which has been invited to speak about its long-standing role in supporting resident involvement, championing local issues and helping to preserve and enhance the character of Isleworth.

The Chair, Councillor Scott Hill, will then provide an update on the Action Tracker, outlining progress on issues raised at previous meetings. The Open Forum, running from 8.40pm to 9.15pm, gives residents the chance to raise questions with councillors, although individual cases cannot be discussed. Residents are encouraged to submit questions in advance, ideally at least one working day before the meeting, to increase the likelihood of receiving a response on the night.

The meeting will close with any urgent business the Chair wishes to take, before confirming the date of the next scheduled Area Forum on 9 November 2026.

Residents who wish to speak on agenda items are asked to contact the Committee Administrator, Jane Medici, at least two working days before the meeting. For highways matters, both sides will be heard if there are opposing views, with speakers generally limited to five minutes each.
