The next meeting of the Brentford and Syon Area Forum is still going ahead on Monday 14 July according to the meeting’s Chair.

John Dale of Brentford TV contact Cllr Marina Sharma last Wednesday (25 June) to query the information on the Hounslow Council web site which had marked the public meeting as postponed.

She told him, “It hasn’t been postponed it’s just been rescheduled as it was supposed to be taking place at the start of the month but has been rescheduled due to a clash of meetings that I will be attending. “

The meeting was originally supposed to take place on Monday 7 July.

She added that she would speak to council officers to get the online information updated but, by close of business this Friday, the council web site still had the meeting marked as postponed.

Cllr Sharma later said that the officer in charge of the arrangments for the meeting was away until the beginning of July and the details would be updated on their return.

This would be Cllr Sharma’s first as chair of the public meeting which is usually well attended. The proposed venue was Brentford Free Church.

Area Forums have become an important part of the way that Hounslow Council tries to engage with residents. The forums are held across the borough, split up by electoral ward.
There is no registration for these events – just come along on the evening.

This site remains committed to providing local community news and public interest journalism.

Articles such as the one above are integral to what we do. We aim to feature as much as possible on local societies, charities based in the area, fundraising efforts by residents, community-based initiatives and even helping people find missing pets.
