Abdul Kayani left female occupant with life-changing injuries
August 15, 2025 A man from Brentford has been jailed for nearly five years after deliberately driving a Range Rover into a house in Slough, causing life-changing injuries to an innocent woman in her forties. Abdul Kayani, 26, of Green Dragon Lane, Brentford, was sentenced at Reading Crown Court on Friday, 1 August, after pleading guilty to grievous bodily harm with intent, affray, possession of a bladed article, and dangerous driving. The incident occurred at around 2am on 17 August 2024, when Kayani drove a black Range Rover SVR into a parked Mercedes on a driveway in Northern Road. The impact forced the vehicle into the house, causing the porch to collapse and crush a woman underneath. Kayani exited the vehicle brandishing a steering lock and confronted the occupants of the damaged property before fleeing the scene. The Range Rover, which sustained significant damage, was stopped moments later by police on the A4 Bath Road. At the time, Mohammed Subhani was driving, with Kayani and Abdifatah Mohamoud as passengers. A knife was found in the footwell of the vehicle. Kayani was jailed for four years and nine months and banned from driving for four years and eight months following his release. He will be required to take an extended re-test to regain his licence. Mohamoud, 23, of Tachbrook Road, Feltham, pleaded guilty to possession of a bladed article and possession of cannabis. He received a nine-month custodial sentence. Subhani, 28, of Chrislea Close, Hounslow, admitted dangerous driving and was sentenced to three months in prison. He must also take an extended re-test before driving again. Detective Constable Leiagh Ball, of Slough CID, who led the investigation, said, “Abdul Kayani drove his vehicle at that property with intent following a feud. As a result, the victim, an innocent mother, was left with life-changing injuries. “I hope this sentence serves as a deterrent that the police will take these offences seriously. We are committed to keeping our communities safe and holding offenders to account. “I would like to thank the victim and witnesses for their bravery in coming forward and supporting this investigation and I hope, in time, that the victim recovers from her injuries.” The woman has not been publicly named but is reported to have suffered lasting trauma and physical harm as a result of the incident.
