An armed man entered the Ladbrokes on Twickenham Road before 11am on Sunday 22nd June demanding money from staff.

As he gained entry to the secure area, he assaulted a 32 year old male member of staff. He threatened staff with a gun and was given money that was on the premises.

He then made off on foot after the robbery and it is not thought at this stage that he had any accomplices. The member of staff assaulted was not injured.

The man who is described as black, of thin build aged around 20 covered his face with a black and white scarf. He was wearing a black baseball cap, light cream shirt, black trousers, yellow jacket.

The robbery is being investigated by MPS Barnes Flying Squad at Barnes. Anyone with information is asked to call the incident room on 020 8247 7931 or alternatively can remain anonymous by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
