An apparent attempt to rob a bookmakers in Brentford failed because the crimininals appear not the have checked their watches properly.

On Wednesday 23rd January at 9pm two men tried to enter the Totesport Bookmakers at 109, Windmill Road. There were two members of staff on the premises behind a glassed counter and one customer. Both men had black clothing and masks and on was holding an object protruding from a white canvas sack. However, the front door had already been locked and the men ran off down Grove Road.

The first man was described as a white male , 18 - 20 years old, 5'8", slim build, wearing a black ski mask with ventilator by mouth, black top and bottoms, white trainers, carrying white canvas bag with pole type object protruding. His accomplice was also a white maile, 18 - 20 years old, approx 5'8", slim build, black ski mask with ventilator by mouth black top and bottoms white trainers.
