Quick thinking officers from the local Safer Neighbourhoods Team have helped recover a luxury sports car which was stolen from a local dealership this week.

On Monday 8th October staff at West London Audi were receiving a delivery of brand new cars at their showroom on the Great West Road. Two men managed to drive off in a Audi TT valued at £35,000 soon after it was offloaded from the car transporter. PC's Andy Brooks and Mark Hughes from the Syon Safer Neighbourhood Team assisted in the search. Using their local knowledge, they managed to trace the car within just 20 minutes after the theft.

The suspects had removed all of the protective film from the vehicle's bodywork and left it in the Syon Park car park. The undamaged vehicle and other items have been seized by police and are currently subject to forensic tests in order to trace the suspects.

Mr Keith Robertson the manager at West London Audi praised the speed of the police response whilst his expressing his gratitude to the officers.
