Brentford bounced back from the previous weekends defeat to Charlton with a well fought draw up at Huddersfield.

Andy Scott gave Charlie MacDonald his first start since his injury against Gillingham coming in place of Carl Cort and Steve Kabba came in for Sam Saunders.

The first half was a drab affair with neither goalkeeper having a save of note to make and 0-0 was a deserving scoreline. Brentford had improved on the previous week by pressurising the Huddersfield players as soon as they got the ball and silenced the expectant home crowd.

In the second half Huddersfield came out of the traps quickly and Price was there to make a comfortable save from Theo Robinson. Jordan Rhodes headed over from a good position following a good cross from the left wing.

Brentford pushed forward to look for the lead of their own and Charlie MacDonald forced Alex Smithies into a good save with a chip that looked destined for the top corner. Following that Brentford missed two golden opportunities to take the lead when Taylor fired wide from eight yards following excellent work from Steve Kabba. Weston then mishit his shot when in a good position.

Huddersfield also had chances and caused problems with cross-field diagonal balls but Brentford held firm, following a goal-line clearance from Mark Phillips, and took a well earned point back from Yorkshire.

Thanks to Tom Moore and BIAS for the match report.
