A classical reimagining of ABBA’s biggest hits will take place at St Paul’s Church in Brentford this summer, as part of a touring series of candlelit concerts hosted in churches and heritage venues across the UK. The event, scheduled for Saturday 18 July, will offer two evening sittings and is open to audiences aged eight and over.

The performances will feature a pianist, a string duet and a vocal duet, presenting orchestral interpretations of well-known ABBA songs including Mamma Mia, Take a Chance on Me, Dancing Queen, Fernando and Thank You for the Music. The programme also includes Money, Money, Money, Voulez-Vous, Honey Honey, One of Us, I Do, I Do, I Do and Slipping Through My Fingers.

Doors open at 6.15pm for the first performance, which runs from 7pm to 8pm, and at 8.30pm for the second, which runs from 9pm to 10pm. Seating is unreserved within tiered zones, with attendees allocated to Platinum, Gold, Silver or Bronze sections on arrival.

The organisers note that the venue is wheelchair accessible, though access to front-row seating cannot be guaranteed.

Each month, the wider concert series donates to a different charity, and the Brentford date will follow that model.

The event will take place at St Paul’s Church, St Paul’s Road, Brentford, TW8 0PN.

Tickets range from £45 to £20 plus booking fee.
