Wyndham’s has announced that its butcher counter at Syon Park will close on 11 August, bringing an end to several years of trading at one of west London’s most distinctive retail settings. The company confirmed the move in a message to customers on Instagram, explaining that the counter will be relocated to its flagship Chiswick branch as part of a wider refurbishment and investment programme.

The counter, at the Hillier Garden Centre, offers a curated collection of free range, high welfare produce and is described as the most modern of Wyndhams locations. It aimed to extendi beyond traditional butchery cuts, with more of a farm shop feel, marinated products and pre-prepared sides.

Wyndham’s said the decision was not a farewell but a consolidation, bringing “the very best of both shops” together under one roof. Staff thanked customers for their loyalty and promised that the same quality, service and familiar faces would continue in Chiswick.

The closure marks the end of a chapter for a business that has built its reputation on traditional butchery, high-quality produce and a strong local following. Wyndham’s began as a family-run operation and has grown steadily up to this point.

The business emphasised that customers would still be able to find the same produce and staff in Chiswick, where the relocated counter will form a centrepiece of the revamped shop.
