Brentford Community Sports Day

The Brentford Community Sports Day was organised by five community groups with the Brentford Toy Library taking on the role of event
managers. The other partners were Brentford Community Sports Trust, Westplay, Equippers, and Global Xchange. In addition The Bridge
(Developing people) provided a hot food service. All attendees were invited to take part in an activity passport to encourage participation in all the activities offered by the partners. These included football, fun sports like water gliding, face painting, arts and crafts, mini assault course and Zambian dancing and African drumming. The idea was that each child got one stamp when they took part in each activity. When they had collected 5 stamps they received a medal and their passport went into a draw for 10 Brentford FC family tickets.

The event as stated in the application form was at St Paul’s Recreaction Ground 1st August and was open from 12pm-4pm. The attendees were from Brentford and surrounding areas of LB Houslow.
