The Friends of St Pauls are celebrating the success of the Clean-Up day held last Sunday 19 March. Scores of volunteers helped remove graffiti, pick up litter, trim back shubbery and restore the footpaths. In all, 163 black sacks were filled with rubbish, fallen branches and other remains of the winter.

The day was supported by CiP, who provided graffiti removal kits, shovels, brooms and other tools. The work was done by the volunteers from around the local area.

Friends member Alan Sheerins said "It's a tribute to the hard work of so many people that St Pauls now looks in such good shape. Since starting the group in 2003 we've worked to make the park a nicer place - all we need now is some nice weather to enjoy the park in!

Residents with green fingers can head to Boston Manor Park between 24 - 26 March to help plant bulbs for the spring. Contact the Friends of Boston Manor for more information.
