Police are seeking witnesses to a serious assault on a 73 year old woman.

The woman, from Ealing, was walking by the Grand Union Canal on Saturday 19th March. Around 5pm she was assaulted by a group of males at Brentford Lock. She was left with cuts to her face, legs and hands, had two teeth loosened and suffered swelling to her face. Following treatment at West Middlesex Hospital she was released.

Her purse was stolen by the assailants.

The victim is still shaken by the assault and police are very interested in talking to anybody who witnessed the attack. Witnesses and anybody with information should call DC Gavin Bolt on 020 8247 5940.
