Medical equipment worth £165,000 has been stolen from the West Middlesex hopsital. The burglary took place on Wednesday 16th February at some point between 6.30pm and 8.30am the following morning. Thieves broke into the Women's Health Unit, probably around 8pm when an alarm was set off by the opening of a side door. They then proceeded through the maternity ward.

Two ultra-sound units were taken; a Kemead SSD3500 valued at £100,000 and a Kemead SSD5000 valued at£65,000. In addition a DVD recorder used to record the ultra-sound images was taken. It is valued at £5,000. An attempt was made to steal a third larger machine but they could not fit it through the door.
