A man in his thirties is critically ill in hospital after a fight broke out on Ealing Road, Brentford in the early hours of Saturday morning (27 May).

The police received reports of a fight and a man injured on the street at about 4.20am. On arrival they found the victim had suffered serious head injuries.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said, “He was taken to a central London hospital where he remains with life-threatening injuries.”

The police had been told that an altercation had occurred between ‘a number of individuals’.

Part of the road near Brentford High Street has been cordoned off by forensics teams investigating the scene.

This latest incident is close to the scene of an ‘acid attack’ on a man that took place earlier this month.

No arrests have been made at this stage.
