A man believed to be in his fifties has died after being struck by a car while walking on Thornbury Road in Isleworth.

The collision occurred shortly before 9.16pm on Wednesday 28 April near the junction with the A4.

He was treated by London Ambulance Service paramedics but, despite their best efforts, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police later located the car involved and arrested two people, a 39-year-od woman and a 37-year-old man, on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. They both remain in custody.

Anyone who saw the collision who has not yet spoken to officers, or who has dashcam footage which may assist the investigation, is asked to call the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 020 8543 5157.
