Record success for sixth formers in this year's examinations
A fantastic set of A level results was achieved by Chiswick Community School students this year. Thirty three percent of results were in the A and A* category. This was double the number achieved last year. One in ten results was an A*, the new grade denoting exceptional achievement. Ten students achieved at least three As.
Head Boy, Jonny Manfield, achieved two A stars and an A. He has been accepted by University College London to study Engineering. ‘I feel very relieved to have got in. I just wish I could have achieved an A star in Physics too. I have been really well supported at Chiswick and would like to wish everyone at the school well.’
Robert Berchtold achieved 4 As and is going to Edinburgh to study Biochemistry. ’I am delighted with my results and am really looking forward to starting my course’.

Hannah Dah’s ambition to study Philosophy has now been realised. She has been accepted at Bristol with her two As and one A star. ‘ I am so pleased to have achieved my goal’, she said.

Students at Chiswick have been successful in a diverse range of subject areas from Business Management through to Art. Harvin Alert has gained a place at Kingston to take an Art and Design foundation course. ‘Kingston is in the top ten foundation courses in the country so I am really delighted to have been given a place, said Harvin who gained As in Art and Photography.

Most students at Chiswick Community School have been successful in gaining University places in a difficult year. School staff were in school from 8 a.m. supporting students, who did not gain a university place initially, to help them achieve one through clearing.
