Magistrates from West London are inviting members of the public to visit the Civic Centre in Lampton Road for a unique opportunity to view what really happens in a domestic violence trial on Friday, February 1st.

The event starts at 10.00 and lasts until 1 p.m.

Visitors will be able to watch the mock trial, speak to the agencies involved in dealing with the consequences of this crime, listen to speakers and watch a DVD.

There will be agency stands illustrating different aspects, such as Probation Service, Witness Care, Refuge, Community Police and many more. Representatives, Magistrates and court staff will be on hand to answer questions about the many aspects of the magistracy and the work of the court.

The Mayor of Hounslow and local MPs Ms Mary Macleod and Ms Seema Malhotra will be attending the event.
