It's a new year and Transition Town Brentford is here!

On Tuesday 25th January 2011, 7pm there will be a public meeting at 108 Brentford High Street to kick-start a Transition Town project in Brentford.

Transition Town initiatives are all about looking to a brighter future, in which local communities come together to find solutions to the problems that face our world due to climate change and peak oil, whilst simultaneously improving the local area through organising projects such as community gardens, workshops and activities for all ages. It's really about thinking globally and acting locally. For more information on the transition initiative please follow this link: http://transitionnetwork.org/

For the meeting, there will be a short presentation by two members of Ealing Transition to explain a little more of what the Transition Town concept is about followed by a brainstorming and ideas session.

This meeting is open to everyone (no matter your level of knowledge, interest or ability to participate). We are interested in hearing the views and participation of anybody in the local community, so come along and get involved. If you require any further details please contact Brentford Transitioners via email at communityfoodgrowers@gmail.com.
