Celebrating its 25th anniversary with black tie event at the Clayton Hotel
June 22, 2026 Mulberry Cancer Support has announced plans for a special 25th Anniversary Gala Ball this autumn, celebrating a quarter century of supporting people affected by cancer across West London and beyond. The black-tie event will take place on Saturday 26 September at the Clayton Hotel in Chiswick, bringing together supporters, healthcare professionals, local businesses and long-standing friends of the charity for an evening of celebration, entertainment and fundraising. Founded in 2001 and based within the grounds of West Middlesex University Hospital in Isleworth, Mulberry Cancer Support – formerly known publicly as The Mulberry Centre – has become a lifeline for thousands of people living with cancer, as well as their families, carers and loved ones. The charity provides free counselling, complementary therapies, wellbeing classes, support groups, welfare advice and practical support to help people navigate the emotional and physical challenges of a cancer diagnosis. In the past year alone, the charity supported 1,482 people and delivered 9,776 attendances across its services, reflecting the growing demand for cancer support in the region. The Gala Ball will celebrate the impact of the charity’s work over the past 25 years while raising essential funds to ensure its services can continue long into the future. Guests will enjoy fine dining, live entertainment and a programme of fundraising activities, including a raffle and auction. Raj Athwal, Chief Executive of Mulberry Cancer Support, said the anniversary marks an important moment for the organisation and the community it serves. “Reaching our 25th anniversary is a remarkable milestone and an opportunity to reflect on the thousands of lives that have been touched by the charity since 2001,” he said. “The Gala Ball will be a celebration of our community, our supporters and the incredible resilience of the people we help every day. As demand for cancer support services continues to grow, fundraising events such as this are vital in helping us continue our mission of ensuring that no one faces cancer alone.” Tickets for the Gala Ball are now on sale, and individuals, businesses and community groups are encouraged to book early.
