You can't go swimming this Summer

Not at Brentford Fountain Leisure Centre anyway

"2009 is set to be an exciting year for leisure provision in the borough, with substantial plans being put forward for two leisure and library 'hubs' at Isleworth Recreation Centre and Feltham Airparcs together with proposals for refurbishing Brentford Fountain Leisure Centre and New Chiswick Pool."

So says Hounslow Council, and anyone who has used the Leisure Centre looks forward to the refurbishments being completed.

However the pool hall is to be closed between 10th August and 13th September so if you do want to go swimming, best do it beforehand, or go elsewhere.

The public toilets on the ground floor are currently closed until 4th September, re-opening on the 7th and the wet changing 'village' is closed until 18th September, re-opening on the 21st. The pool is officially reopened on 14th September with brand new rooflights and a refurbished slide.
