"Thames Low: Brentford" - New Photographic Installation
A new photo installation was launched last Friday night by Brentford High Street Steering Group at a meeting attended by Mary Macleod MP. The work - located by the Clitherow Yard car park opposite Fantaseyes, High Street, Brentford - is by urban and arts photographer Peter Kyte. It was the result of a partnership between the Steering Group, Watermans, Octink (who printed and installed it) and Ballymore. The work titled "Thames Low: Brentford" clusters a series of evocative images of the Thames at low tide in Brentford and the boats that cover its banks Andrew Dakers, Chair of Brentford High Street Steering Group, said: "This new art installation has brightened up what was an increasingly grotty corner of Brentford High Street, but is now transformed. Photographer Peter Kyte rose to the challenge well and has produced a range of beautiful images that capture beautifully the colours and textures of the Thames at low tide. The project is another great example of the community working together to make Brentford an even more brilliant place to explore. "
