Two fire engines and around ten firefighters were called to a house fire on York Road, TW8 in Brentford on Tuesdayy afternoon.

A small part of the ground floor of the terraced house was damaged by the fire. A woman and child left the house before the arrival of the Brigade; both were suffering from smoke inhalation and were treated by London Ambulance Service at the scene.  Another person was also treated for an injury to the hand.

The Brigade was called at 1259 and the fire was under control by 1653.

Firefighters from Chiswick and Heston fire station were on the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
