The second annual Christmas Fayre at St Faith’s Church, 122 Windmill Road, Brentford, will take place on Tuesday 23 November from 6.00 – 9.00pm with wonderful live singing and music throughout the evening.  Choirs representing local schools and organisations are lined up for the entire three hours, representing a great cross-section of West London talent.

To start, from 6.00 - 6.30pm, children from Lionel Primary School will be singing a selection of Christmas carols, ancient and modern. The second school, performing from 6.30 – 7.00pm, will be Elthorne Park High School who will be bringing the young musicians of the school Symphonia and the steel pans players who will add a Caribbean flavour to the evening!

St Faith’s Church Choir sing from 7.00 – 7.30pm, followed by the women of the Brentford Belles from 7.30 – 8.00pm, with their unique blend of a cappella and gospel. To round off the night it’s Questors Choir from 8.00 – 9.00pm.  Last year their mixture of classic Christmas songs and other favourites was a splendid finish to the programme.

The Fayre takes place in the Church and also the Church Hall next door, with loudspeakers to the Hall ensuring the music is heard by all.

Vicar Derath Durkin says: “Last year the choirs were the icing on the cake!  They made the whole evening so special and festive and we’re delighted to have the support of local schools and groups again this time.”

The numerous stalls selling a wide range of Christmas gifts and seasonal produce are expecting a busy night, but even the most serious of shoppers should plan on taking time to sit and relax, while soaking up the atmosphere of the evening that will be so enhanced by the choirs and musicians.

A last-minute addition to the Fayre is Belles Bonbons, with traditional sweets in jars and handmade fudge at pocket money prices which are bound to be popular with the children.
Entrance to the Fayre is free.  Refreshments will be on sale with mulled wine, real ale, soft drinks and delicious hot food available.
