A Taste of the Caribbean Calling everyone with a return ticket on the "Windrush"!

Where: Brentford Library (Upstairs)
When: Friday 21st October 10.00am - 4.00pm
The time has come to abandon this place of wind and rain, and get back to the land where the food is fresh, the music is settling and the sun is always out. Caribbean African Association in partnership with Hounslow Library Service invite you to sample a taste of the Caribbean – try out the food, check out the music, find out more about the history and culture.
Brentford Library will open from 10am – 4pm for the event on the day.

The Adventures of Mary Seacole

Where:Paul Robeson Theatre
When: Tuesday 25th October 10.30am – 12 noon
She saved many lives, whilst risking her own… and guess what? She did it alone. Play your part in the wonderful music hall benefit for Mary Seacole – the eminent lady doctor who travelled all the way from Jamaica to risk her life caring for the wounded soldiers of the Crimean War. Join our Victorian music hall artist in songs and sketches, and help her to tell Mary’s extraordinary story. Workshop performed by members of Gunnersbury Park Museum’s education team.
Please note: children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. For more information please contact the Museum Education Department on 020 8992 2247. No advance booking, but places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
Cost: FREE - No entry after 10.20am
