Teen Battle of the Bands at the Watermans Arts Centre

Have You Got What It Takes?

Helen Martin Productions are organising a Teen Battle of the Bands at the Watermans Arts Centre on 5th March 2011

8 bands will perform 2 songs each, of original material only (no covers).

In order to make this a good evening for all spectators, selections of bands will be made which will ensure a cross section of ages of entrants as well as styles of music/performance.

The judges include:
Robert Stephenson - founder of Blastbeat
Phil Martin – rock/acoustic musician, composer and guitar teacher
Chandlers – guitar shop
Den Browne of Mudkiss online fanzine

Tickets will be £5 each for everyone whether performing or watching and will go on sale on 15th February 2011 from the box office at Watermans Arts Centre on: 0208 232 1010

Prizes are:

1st: To be the support act at one of Helen Martin’s gigs and be interviewed for Mudkiss 
2nd  2 full band guitar/music workshops with Phil Martin
3rd   Chandlers related prize (to be confirmed)

1st 2nd and 3rd prize winners also will be guaranteed entry in the Blastbeat Battle of the bands where the top bands get to play the O2 Arena in October 2011 where the winner of Blastbeat gets to be offered a management and recording deal.
