Cultivate London is a charity that uses vacant urban land to train young people in horticulture. Since March 2011 it's been growing a range of potted herbs, flowers and veg in poly-tunnels on the site of a former armchair factory at East Street, off Commerce Road.

Everyone is welcome to the open day at our Brentford Lock site on Saturday 15th September 2012 between 10am and 4pm. We will be selling plants grown in Brentford, and the team will be on hand to answer questions about horticulture, volunteering and training.

A map can be found on tje website www.cultivatelondon.org, and there will be signs along the Grand Union canal towpath at Brentford Lock, and along Commerce Road behind the Holiday Inn Hotel.

You can also watch this video, produced by Brentford's pointsource.tv explaining what Cultivate London do.
