Owner still not located after two weeks
October 3, 2025 A small black and tan dog was found wandering near Pets at Home in Brentford on the afternoon of Thursday 18 September, and efforts are continuing to locate his owner. The dog, described as young, energetic, and well cared for, had no collar or leash and was at risk from nearby traffic when spotted. A passerby took him to the Companion Care Vet inside the store, where staff checked for a microchip but were unable to retrieve any owner details. With the vet unable to keep him, an elderly local resident kindly took the dog home to ensure his safety. “He’s very playful and loves tug-of-war,” said the woman’s daughter, who is helping coordinate the search. “He’s a lovely dog, but far too energetic for my mother, who’s 84. We’re really hoping someone recognises him or knows the family who might be missing him.” No formal rescue or shelter has taken him in, and the family is appealing to the local community for help. If you recognise the dog or have any information about his possible owner, call 07598 480201 or 07720 389605.
