Firefighters were called to a fire at a semi-detached house in Isleworth this Thursday afternoon (25 May).

The Brigade received the first of eight calls about the blaze in Albury Avenue at 1.34pm and sent four fire engines and 25 firefighters from Richmond, Ealing, Chiswick and Heston stations.

It took them just over an hour to get the fire under control by which time part of the ground floor of the two-storey house and a small part of the exterior of a neighbouring property had been damaged.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
