Brentford staff at Access Self Storage on Great West Road are preparing to embark on a half marathon, 13-mile walk, as part of a 30 strong team raising money for its charity partner, Cancer Research UK. Beginning at the Access site in Fulham and ending at Access King’s Cross, the walkers will visit 7 stores along the route and have just kicked off their fundraising campaign.

Local staff member, Mohammoud Hassan, Customer Service Assistant will be lacing up his walking boots on 25 June for the sponsored team walk with the Brentford team already having raised over £300.

The fundraiser has been timed to take place in Self Storage Week to raise awareness of how the industry can also do community good as well as providing an important service.

Mohammoud Hassan said, “We wanted to do something meaningful that connects our stores and gives back to a cause that is close to many of our hearts. It’ll be a long walk, but every step will be worth it.”

Self Storage Week also celebrates the people behind the storage industry, the walk serves as a way for staff to connect to stores, communities, and causes and offers those involved in the walk the opportunity to connect with all.

Donations can be made to support the fundraiser and raise funds for Cancer Research UK at; Brentford – Access.
