The North Circular Road (A406) was closed in the early hours of Thursday morning (3 February) after a car overturned.

The road was closed from Tudor Way to Kingsbridge Avenue shortly after 12.30am after the vehicle appears to have crashed into the central reservation close to the St Columba’s Tennis Club in Acton.

The driver was trapped in the car and had to be freed by firefighters but was not seriously injured.

Police arrested the driver on suspicion of drink driving.

Articles such as the one above are integral to what we do. We aim to feature as much as possible on local societies, charities based in the area, fundraising efforts by residents, community-based initiatives and even helping people find missing pets.
