Commencing March/April 2014 - Job Opportunities in Syon House's Functions & Events team for the season until October 2014.

Syon House is seeking to recruit a SEASONAL FUNCTION MANAGER to work in one of London’s most beautiful stately homes supporting its busy summer season of functions and events.

We are looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated new team member to manage weddings and corporate functions. The postholder would also deal with venue enquiries, conduct site-visits and liaise with trusted suppliers.

Ideally the applicants will need to have had experience in an events role, preferably in a heritage or hospitality industry related background. An eye for detail and a proven record in dealing with clients is highly desirable. A quick thinking team player with a flexible approach to an ever-changing environment is ideal.

Evening and weekend working (on a rota basis) will be required.

In addition, we are also looking for charming EVENT STEWARDS to welcome guests, help run weddings & events -  and do things like directing  traffic as well as help set-up rooms. Event stewards are needed for  on Friday, Saturday and some Sunday afternoons – as well as possibly some weekday evenings through the season.
