The official list of candidates running in next month’s local elections has been published.

There will be 187 candidates running to become one of the borough’s 60 councillors, and the list of who is running in each of the 20 wards across the borough can be found here.

The elections take place on Thursday 22 May – the same day as the European Parliamentary elections – and residents who have not yet registered to vote have until 6 May to do so.

Applications to vote by post, or alterations to existing arrangements for postal voting by electors or their proxies, at this election, must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Wednesday 7 May 2014.
