Mary Macleod MP said: “Crime and antisocial behaviour causes misery in local communities. We need a criminal justice system which is tough, but intelligent. For too long community sentences have been seen as a soft option and victims have been let down. Victims should come first and offenders face a meaningful punishment.
"In Brentford and Isleworth the recent drop in crime demonstrates how our police services are continuing to show an exceptional commitment to the safety of the local community. These reductions in Hounslow are indicative of the decline in crime across all of England and Wales over the last few years.”
