Renewed surge in Kew Bridge Road sales boost price and volumes

The latest figures from the Land Registry show that the Brentford property market has seen an increase in activity during December 2012 and January 2013 traditionally quiet months.
44 properties changed hands at an average price of £398,934. Eleven of these sales were in the 8, Kew Bridge Road development with one unit costing its new owner £992,500. This is the fifth most expensive property sale in Brentford.
Top Twenty Brentford Property Sales
According to the Land Registry, London property prices continue to lead the rest of the country rising by 7.1% in January compared with the same month in 2012. The average price of a home in the capital is now £373,207. For England and Wales as a whole over the same period average prices rose by just 1.0% to reach £162,441.
The most up-to-date figures available show that during November 2012, the number of completed house sales in England and Wales increased by 1 per cent to 61,091 compared with 60,369 in November 2011. The number of properties sold in England and Wales for over £1 million in November 2012 increased by 19 per cent to 657 from 554 in November 2011.
