Walk Around Brentford History

Guided Tours around historic landmarks

Hounslow Heritage Guides are continuing their series of Brentford Walks this summer.

The regular program consists of two guided walks.

On the first Sunday of every month is the Brentford Town Walk, tracing the different eras of the town’s history, from the road built by the Romans to the 1642 Civil War battle, and the building of Brunel’s dock, part of which exists today.

On the final Sunday of every month is the Brentford to Boston Manor walk, exploring the history of St. Lawrence Church, and the Grand Union Canal, finishing at the grounds of the majestic Jacobean, Boston Manor House.

Walks cost just £2 each and depart at 2.30 from outside Goddards, opposite the Post Office on Brentford High Street.
