Burst water pipe has flooded Brentford High Street

The A315 Brentford High Street/London Road is closed to though traffic between Busch Close and Half Acre. Access to properties on High Street is available from Half Acre to Tallow Road and on London Road from Busch Close to Augustus Close.

Traffic diversions are still in place and people should check www.tfl.gov.uk before starting their journey.

Brentford High Street is likely to be closed for at least 10 days as repairs need to be undertaken to the road and footway.

Four fire engines, a fire rescue unit  and a specialist high volume pumping appliance attended a flooding incident caused by a burst water main on Brentford High Street on Wednesday. The Brigade was called at 0650 and the Brigade’s involvement in the incident was over by 1404. Crews from Chiswick, Ealing and Heston fire stations attended the incident.

Hounslow Council is aware that many people will be experiencing low water pressure but no one should be without water. Water should have been fully restored by 1500. Bottled water can be collected from the following locations:
- The Crown Public House, 174 Richmond Road, Junction of Orleans Road TW1 2NH
- West Middlesex Hospital, TW7 6AF
- Pets at Home, 2-10 London Road, TW8 8JW

If residents have been affected by this incident, Thames Water loss adjustors are on site and can be contacted on 0845 72 000 890 or 020 7407 55 99.

Hounslow Council is not aware of any electricity problems in the borough, with the exception of those properties flooded. Properties flooded should speak to electricity providers before switching electricity back on.
