Burst water pipe has flooded Brentford High Street
Traffic diversions are still in place and people should check www.tfl.gov.uk before starting their journey. Brentford High Street is likely to be closed for at least 10 days as repairs need to be undertaken to the road and footway. Four fire engines, a fire rescue unit and a specialist high volume pumping appliance attended a flooding incident caused by a burst water main on Brentford High Street on Wednesday. The Brigade was called at 0650 and the Brigade’s involvement in the incident was over by 1404. Crews from Chiswick, Ealing and Heston fire stations attended the incident.
If residents have been affected by this incident, Thames Water loss adjustors are on site and can be contacted on 0845 72 000 890 or 020 7407 55 99. Hounslow Council is not aware of any electricity problems in the borough, with the exception of those properties flooded. Properties flooded should speak to electricity providers before switching electricity back on. Top photo is of Brentford High Street at half past one on Wednesday.
