The 235 bus stand is now not to be relocated outside the Great West Quarter due to cost.

Last October a consultation was held about changes to the end of the 235 bus route due to ongoing issues with it using Great West Quarter as a bus stand.

The proposal was that the 235 bus route would terminate at the stop immediately north of Baltic Avenue (stop ref: BT), turn using the roundabout on the A4 and then stand on the proposed stand facility outside GWQ. The bus stand would also act as the first bus stop on the southbound route.

After the consultation members of Isleworth and Brentford Area Forum agreed to move the bus stand, with an estimated project cost of £80,000.

As part of the detailed design work trial holes were dug to check buried services under the footway. These services would need to be lowered at a cost of around £200,000. Barratts and TfL have declined to put funding towards this project.

Therefore it has been decided to abandon the project to move the 235 bus stand.
