The temporary classrooms are have all been sited in the main playground. The utilities and services are being connected and the classrooms are being prepared for use. This process will continue throughout the next week and we expect to reopen on Monday 16th September as planned. We will send final confirmation, with instructions for day 1, to parents/carers next week. We are very grateful to all parents/carers for the assistance they have been giving us and for the many offers of help we have been receiving.

There have been a number of enquiries wondering why the roof at St Paul's School has not been tarpaulined to prevent more water damage from rain. The roof is not tarpaulined yet for health and safety reasons. The roofing contractor is on site erecting scaffolding. The roof beams need to be checked before tarpaulin strategy can be implemented.

The staff at St Paul's have been working hard to ensure that the children are not disadvantaged in any way by the circumstances or the temporary accommodation. The Governors, LDBS, and LBH have been working together to ensure that the school receives every support and is able to open within the timeframe previously announced. We will be holding a parents/carers meeting in early October to look at how things are going and the progress of the remedial works needed to enable us to reoccupy the main building completely.
