The Shelter Project Hounslow has been awarded The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service 2017.

They provide accommodation and meals to homeless men during the winter and help them find employment and permanent homes.  

The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service (QAVS) is the highest award given to UK volunteer groups, being equivalent to the MBE.

The prestigious award recognises outstanding work done by volunteer groups in their communities.
