Notting Hill Housing will hold a second round of public drop-in sessions to show its emerging proposals for Reynard Mills Trading Estate. These drop-in sessions are at St Faith's Church, 122 Windmill Road, Brentford, TW8 9NA on:

Thursday 13 February, between 3pm and 7pm

Saturday 15 February, between 12pm and 4pm.

See Notting Hill Housing's web site

This is likely to be the final round of public consultation before the planning application is submitted to Hounslow Council.

The 'emerging' proposals appear to be under 200 flats and houses, rising to 5 storey buildings.

The number of residents is unclear. The figures suggest 771 bed spaces. but the proportion of adults to children is not calculated. More adults means more transport pressures; more children means more schools pressure.

There are also concerns about lack of play space for children.

WRAG, Windmill Road Action Group suggest the following issues are of concern:

  • Layout and mix of flats and houses
  • Mix of family and smaller homes,
  • Number of residents including the mix of adults and children,
  • Height of the apartment blocks,
  • Exterior design of the flats and houses,
  • Play space for young children,
  • Operation of the site’s entrances and exits,
  • Possibility of including a pedestrian crossing on Windmill Road near the northern exit,
  • Car parking pressures in the surrounding side streets,
  • Arrangements for visitor parking,
  • Local drainage problems
  • Arrangements to encourage bicycle usage including easily accessible bicycle storage for the residents of the houses and flats.

It’s vital that as many residents as possible attend the drop-in sessions and leave their comments with the developer.  If you can’t get to the sessions and you would like to ask questions or make comments please get in touch with Notting Hill Housing group on Freephone 0800 046 1293 or info@reynardmill.com

Notting Hill Housing Group will also be presenting their proposals to Brentford Community Council on 27th February.
