Comment on this story on the

Phenomenal growth in the number of Brentford inhabitants, combined with new residents associations springing up, has triggered a recruitment drive by Brentford Community Council, who have also relaunced their website.

A lively and exciting organisation encompassing representatives of many local voluntary bodies, residents associations and individual members, Brentford Community Council keeps a watchful eye on all that goes on in Brentford. The volunteers who form the Council in particular assess all significant planning applications from the point of view of Brentford’s residents. It provides considered and professional comment where this is necessary and has taken part in many formal review activities.

Chief recruiter, Myra Savin says:
“Make sure that the local organisations of which you are a member have joined Brentford Community Council and have renewed this year. If you care about Brentford, join as an individual and make an impact on our community’s future with the rest of us.

“If you have recently moved to Brentford come along and become acquainted with some of the old hands! Just contact me by email or phone –
