London Ambulance Service (LAS) have submitted a planning application to Hounslow Council to open a new staff training centre in Brentford.

They want to convert 1171.8 square metres on the first floor and the ground floor of the Brentside Business Park on the Great West Road. The business centre is currently zoned as offices and vacant.

The site is bound to the north by the Great West Road, to the east of the business park by the Grand Union Canal, to the south a railway line and by further commercial properties to the west.

LAS will need to obtain a change of use for the building. A meeting was held between LAS staff and planning officers in November.

It is understood that LAS would use the building for tabletop training exercises such as responding to multi-site terrorist attacks with mass causalities.

The planning reference is P/2020/4334. You can find further details of the application and make comments by visiting this page.
