Lightning Strikes Aeroplane Descending into Heathrow

Moment above Brentford captured during thunderstorm

There was a thunderstorm on Wednesday night and the lightning was very frightening for some passengers.

This stunning photo was taken on Brentford Dock looking towards the flight path over Kew, shortly past 8pm.

The plane was reportedly flying in from Reykjavik.

Plane just got hit by lightning on the descent into Heathrow. Didn't die #winning ??????
