An 83 year old woman has suffered facial injuries after falling over cracks in the pavement near her home on the Northumberland Estate.

Valerie Mayer was walking near her home with her son on Fri when she fell. She was treated at West Middlesex hospital and released later that day.

Ms Mayer's daughter in law, Sarah Felstead, has been campaigning to get Hounslow Council to repair some of the broken slabs and prosecute drivers who park on the pavement since Sept 2004, keeping readers of TW8's forum up to date on the success - or lack of it.

Some of the paving slabs where the accident occurred had been replaced - but in a way which, according to Sarah, would mean that they were very likely to crack again.
