Following last week’s news of its participation in The Big Give, Microfinance charity, MicroLoan Foundation has exceeded its funding target this Christmas for impoverished women in Malawi and Zambia, with support from the money-matching scheme.

Donations made to the Brentford-based charity via The Big Give website were doubled for three days last week as part of MicroLoan Foundation’s participation in The Big Give Christmas Challenge, raising a grand total of £32,000 and trumping their £30,000 fundraising target.

MicroLoan Foundation’s CEO and founder, Peter Ryan, said: “Thanks to your support, we’re delighted that we were able to exceed our funding target, raising a brilliant £32,000 in three days to support our vital work helping women in Malawi and Zambia to escape poverty in a sustainable way”.
