Afternoon Tea in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support

On Saturday 19th September 2015 3pm – 5pm, St Faith’s Church Hall, Windmill Road TW8 9NA

Forget the A316 and the World Cup, put Brentford FC out of your mind, relax and enjoy a cup of tea*  some cake,  flapjack or scone and chat while you listen to some of the groups which meet and perform in Brentford and Hounslow .  They are always pleased to have an opportunity to meet and  entertain new audiences.  What could be better than sharing their love for performing while helping to raise funds for such a great Charity.

Entertainment will include Hounslow Light Opera company with a variety of songs, Mad About Gospel singing `a cappella', St Faith's Players - some of the cast and crew with a short selection from their upcoming Pantomime - `The White Cat' and  solo spots from Lee Dewsnap on piano and Rob Shaw on Double Bass.....

And there’s a competition for all you cake decorators – bring along a cupcake (bought or home made) that you have decorated and win a prize!  Bianca Marton, of the handmade chocolates of the same name, will be judging!

Raffle prizes include tickets for future shows by our performing groups, Restaurant vouchers, Toiletries, Chocolates and many more... Also `Beat the Limes game' and Guess the Spots on the Cake.

Thank you to the sponsors: Quilliams are sponsoring the milk and squash and have given raffle prizes; Carlos Machado, Backup Coffee, has donated a large amount of coffee - we should all stay awake!; Nick Kilby, Teapigs, has donated all sorts of Teapigs which will mean everyone can have at least 2 cups of tea!; Danny, La Rosetta, is making Panna Cotta; Ferki Shala, Siracusa, has donated a voucher; the new cafe bakery Verdict has donated sugar sachets; The Weir and the Lord Nelson have also contributed.

Thanks go to St Faith's Church and Open House St Paul's Church, Bianca Marton, BrentfordTW8, the Brentford Chamber of Commerce, family and  neighbours for all their support and involvement

Isn’t  it "The Macmillan Big Coffee Morning" ?  Well yes, the regular Big Coffee morning will happen on Friday 25th September at Brentford Dock Residents (10:30-12:30pm) as usual but Afternoon Tea would be different and include as many people as possible,  after all so many of us have been touched by cancer in one way or another, so Saturday afternoon it is!

If you'd like to know more or can offer help on the day please contact Jennie Shaw on 07961 333273

*other non–alcoholic beverages will be available!
