Hounslow Council is planning to give a new name to the footpath between Point Wharf Lane and High Street Brentford, TW8.

The national body for street naming GeoPlace advises the need for a separate name due to the different status of the paths.

The suggestions, no doubt in tribute to Montgomery's Wharf and Saw Mill are:
(i) Sawmill Wharf Walk
(ii) Timber Wharf Walk
(iii) Timber Yard Walk

Any objection to the intended order will be considered by the Council provided that the objection is submitted in writing to the Director of Customer Relations, Communications and Engagement at the address shown below before 20 May 2018.
